Bio/analysis
The photographer i chose was Yaniv Schulman. Before he did photography, He studied dance for 5 years and preformed internationally as a child. Yaniv was a part of the film "Cat Fish the Movie" on MTV. They now made it a show, on MTV, to help find the person you fell in love with online. On Yanivs website, he includes photos from dance, candids, events and landscape. The picture I chose was from the events category. I thought this would be a fun picture to emulate because I could make cupcakes. So to emulate the photo, Me and my friends made a batch of blue cupcakes with purple frosting. We bought candles to copy the photo. After we made and frosted the cupcakes, we tried to place the them in the right way they are placed in the first picture. As soon as we got them as close as we could to the original picture, we stuck the candles in and lit them. We only had so much time before the candles stared to melt, so we had to work fast. I also had the model hold a candle nest to her mouth so she would look exactly the same with her hand positioning. I took at least ten different photos at different angles and lighting. The one I chose had the best lighting and illuminated the models face like the original. The one big difference in the photos are that in my photo (right), the candles are more in focus then the original and has no glare from the fire.
