What is the central idea of your concentration?
The central idea for this concentration was examining the transformation of nature through color and texture. I documented nature for an entire year to show nature is beautiful during all seasons of the year.
How does the work in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea?
The photos in my concentration display the color and texture of each season with the hope of making the viewer feel like they are in the setting through clear, sharp photos . As spring begins, the sun shines and warms up the earth. Flowers start to bloom, the woods and the dead trees are reborn; ln first three pictures we see this imagery combined with strong light and warm colors. The next three photos, the temperature begins to rise even more and it becomes summer. Colors become more vibrant, air gets even warmer and the trees are now full green. Next, the air gets crisp and you hear leaves start to crumble as you walk. Nature becomes dull and gray, as seen in pictures 7,8 and 9. Moving on into the colder months, the scenery becomes covered in white. Snow falls and makes nature even more beautiful then it already is. Photos 10-12 communicate the coldness though white tones and snow covering trees and the earth.
