The first assignment of the term was to make a marble background. To do this, in Illustrator i made 6 different shapes with 3 different colors. I changed the opacity of some to make them transparent. I then swirled them together with the twirl tool to make the marble effect. I then typed out my initials and made them a transparent fill. I selected all the art work and letters and made it a clipping-mask. To finish off the piece, i put it on a black background to make it pop.
My next assignment, that is stilling being made, is call "Candy girl" but i have changed the name to "Coley girl" referring to me, making it a more personal project. To Start off, I wrote "coley girl" in cursive font. I made the font teal, and added a white outline. I made curved squares to look like a candy cane. I then made the wrapped candy. TO do this, I made a a circle and changed the gradient so it was white and changed to pink. I made oval shaped object to make it look like wrapped candy. Next I made dot candy. I made a white paper and added different color dots. I put a white circle over them and changed the gradient so it looks like the candy dots are shinning.
The the left is a picture of the finished product of the picture above.
This is the safety poster I made for the Safety Poster contest. I made this in illustrator with the pen tool. I made a minion with his lab goggles telling teens to make sure they always wear there goggles when they work.
